Jan Dixon, Co-Vice President

Jan Britt Dixson is a descendant of Hiram Wilson. His son Henry is her great-great grandfather. She is the daughter of LaVerne Britt who was instrumental in helping to establish and incorporate the foundation. Jan currently serves as Co-Vice President of this Foundation. Jan graduated San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science.    

Jan was employed several years in various hospital labs and later managed an Ophthalmologist Office. She became interested in Education Administration and served as Director of Admissions and Director of Career Services for Medical Vocational Schools and a Community College.                         

Jan’s has a passion and skill for humanitarian and organizational fundraising. She was also instrumental with the opening of the Wilson Pottery Museum located at the Historical Sebastopol House in Seguin Texas and spearheaded the last Wilson Pottery Gala. Jan has two sons and four grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
